GRADE AND/OR OCCUPATION: surfer SEXUAL ORIENTATION: heterosexual PLAY BY PLAY: cheyenne kimball
PERSONALITY:
blake is a really sporty girl with a love of surfing the big waves. she’s fun to be around, definitely doesn’t fit the snobby rich girl stereotype. she’s the type that prefers to hang out with the guys more, and as a result, tends to epically fail at seeing the guys she hangs out with as anything more than friends. the guys she closest to, however, which are the ones she’s known since she moved to hawaii, are more like brothers to her anyways, so she’d feel awkward doing something as simple as flirting with them, let alone dating any of them. the ones not so close to her, however, are always options. she’s been single for a couple months though, after breaking up with her long term boyfriend after finding out he was cheating on her.
blake is usually a nice person, though she does have days when she’s downright sarcastic and mean. but then again, who doesn’t have those days every once and awhile? she isn’t so sweet that she’s completely and utterly naïve to everything in the world, but it’s there in small doses. she tries as often as possible to give people the benefit of the doubt, but there are cases where she just despises the person based on what she’s observed and heard. but nobody’s perfect anyways, and blake knows she isn’t.

blake was born in manhattan, new york on may thirteenth, nineteen-ninety-two, to charles warner buckley, a highly successful businessman born and raised in manhattan, and kaliona alana buckley, a doctor born and raised in hawaii. for the first few years of her life, blake lived in manhattan, as did the rest of her family. when she finished seventh grade, her parents made the decision to relocate the family to kaliona’s hawaiian homeland, where charles’s corporation had spread to about a year earlier. since then, it’s where blake has lived and grown up. whenever her dad goes back to manhattan for business, she usually goes with him if she isn’t busy.
this past may blake graduated from high school, as well as turned eighteen finally on the thirteenth, and as much as her parents desired for her to go to college, she chose to take a year off. her parents knew not to try and push college on her continuously, seeing as it would only make her want to attend less and less, and it was important to them that she eventually get a college education. preferably sooner rather than later. for now, she’s enjoying the summer doing everything she loves, with surfing at the top of her list. she still hasn’t figured out a way to tell them that college really doesn’t interest her right now, and she actually wants to become a well known professional surfer all over, instead of just here in hawaii, considering she’s one of the best in the state.
ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE:
Today was just one of those days that Jocelyn did not feel like doing anything at all. Unfortunately, she had school, so she had forced herself out of bed this morning to get ready for what now seemed like a ridiculously long day ahead of her. Hoping that some bright colors would make her more alert, she chose a bright red shark shirt that had various other neon colors, as well as some bright blue skinny jeans that matched one of the shades on her shirt. Looking in the mirror, she grinned. It was quite the sight that was reflected back at her. It had the desired effect, however, and she felt a bit more alive than she had when the annoyingly loud alarm went off at the same time it always did on school days.
Fast forward a couple hours, and she was now lying down on one of the rubbery plastic covered metal picnic table benches attached to an equally rubbery plastic covered metal picnic table. There was a look of utmost boredom plastered on her face as she stared longingly at her visible car in the parking lot. She wanted nothing more than to just grab her stuff, run over there, and take off to some place that held more appeal than William McKinley High School currently did. Alas, that was not an option for her, seeing as she was hardly the type to just skip out on classes. A groan escaped when she remembered there was Glee club practice after school today. Could a girl catch a break every now and then? Of course not, that was just the most ridiculous idea ever. Cue the grumpy, sarcastic mode. Oh yes, the rest of the day was going to be just perfect. Not.
Sticking her hand into the bright red messenger bad that was perched on the table above her, she rummaged around for her phone, too lazy to be bothered with actually picking her head up to use her eyes to locate it. Fingers closed around the soft, yet hardy casing that kept the iPhone protected, and it was carefully extracted. Bringing it towards her face, Joce sighed in annoyance. How could there still be twenty minutes left for lunch? It felt like she had been sitting there for hours, not a mere few minutes. Her love of the shiny, black touch screen phone was the only thing that kept her from angrily throwing it across the grassy expanse in front of her.
Normally at this time, she would be sitting inside, surrounded by Quinn and company, but today she just did not feel like being around the raucous that the school cafeteria normally spawned. Her already stretched thin nerves would not have been able to take it, and she most likely would have ended up snapping some snarky comment at one or more of the people around her. And nine times out of ten when that happened, it was something she deeply regretted saying. Usually because it was something her brain knew would be the most damaging to the person it was inflicted upon. That was so not something she either wanted nor needed to deal with today.
Burying her head further into the crook of her arms, she sighed again. Days like this were the worst. There was not even a reason behind why Joce was feeling like this. She just did, and hated it. She let her mind wander, and a ghost of a smile flickered on her lips when she thought of her upcoming swimming challenge with the one and only Noah ‘Puck’ Puckerman. He was so confident that he was not only going to win, but that she wanted him no matter what she said, because according to him, he was a ‘stud that every chick wanted a piece of.’ She was not the type of girl that wanted just a piece though. It was all or nothing. Cheap flings were never her thing, and she did not plan on making them her thing anytime soon. He was probably out of her league, anyways, despite the fact that she was treated in much the same fashion as Quinn. Rulers of the school, pretty much. Well, this ruler was thoroughly bored right now. “Somebody save me,” she huffed in a normal voice.
