PERSONALITY:

With an independent young woman like Kailyn, you can never expect her to rely on someone for assistance. She prefers to do everything herself and to follow her own path. You can consider her a social butterfly since she loves to meet new people. She does have a sense of low self esteem, but she blames that on the lack of attention she got from her parents (despite that they were just too busy to notice any of their kids). Kailyn loves to try new things with her thrill-seeking adventurous personality. When there's a party or a new competition, Kailyn's around to scope it out and participate. If you want to know her, she marches to the beat of her own drum.

Kailyn's highly stubborn and won't listen to anyone. Whether you're around to try and back her out of a stupid move, Kailyn most likely won't care what you say. In fact, she doesn't care enough where she'll even say exactly what she thinks... but this is her honest side. Kailyn believes in true honesty. She also believes in helping out to support her friends whenever they need it. Kailyn is very caring and will make sure that no one is around to hurt the ones she loves. Mostly she's a sweetheart who most people can depend on whenever they need her. Just don't expect her to depend on others, since it's already been mentioned she's independent. Also, she loves a good party!

When it comes to relationships, Kailyn tends to be a little different. She starts out shy at first, not knowing what her side of the relationship's duties are. Although once she finally lets herself to be close to a guy, Kailyn starts to get the hang of it. She tends to start out blind in love and then suddenly she'll open her eyes to see the true side of the situation. This means that at first, she's cloudy in the head and will fall for anything. After a while, she'll learn what's really going on and start to understand the personality of the guy she's with. There were only a couple of guys that she's dated, but one sticks out the most (the guy who drugged her at a party). But, this doesn't stop her from dating... it just stops her from connecting close to any future guy who asks her out.

HISTORY:

Believing at first that Kailyn was the oldest sibling, her mom confessed that she had an older brother (Connor) living with their biological father. After a few years of wondering who her brother could be, they received news that the biological father had left Connor to fend for himself after disappearing on him. Eventually the police had gotten in contact with Connor and soon got him back to live with his mom and new family. By this time, Olivia had already been married to Gregory and raising Kailyn before Connor soon became a part of her life... and not for the good.

The competition had started between Kailyn and Connor to find out who was the better child. Kailyn felt as if she lost her parent's attention. Throughout middle school, Kailyn got herself involved with activities that would make her feel as if her parents were proud. She took dancing lessons during her free time which made her confident enough to become a cheerleader. Kailyn even took up horseback riding on the weekends to participate in competitions for her parents to come and watch.

After a while, her parents found themselves too occupied with their jobs to even bother showing up to her cheer/horse competitions. At this point in her life, she blamed the lack of attention on her brother but found out the reason soon enough. Olivia was expecting to have a boy, this time with Greg. By now, Kailyn and Connor had started to settle their differences, but still occasionally fought over small stuff. With Daniel now around to constantly bug them, things started to become difficult for Kailyn to handle.

During the summer before starting high school, Kailyn started dating an older guy who made her believe that he understood her stress. She fell for his charm in the bad way, believing he was much younger than what he claimed. Bringing Kailyn to a high school party, he soon drugged her drink and later took advantage of her in a random room of the house. Leaving her to wake up alone, Kailyn freaked out and called the cops. It took a few months for the guy to be convicted but it didn't take long for Connor to start becoming protective of her. Kailyn hates feeling like a child being watched.

ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE:

"Fuck," Connor muttered beneath his breath as he realized he lost his favorite cigarette lighter. Glancing around his dorm, he managed to find some matches hidden beneath the pile of crap on his coffee table (which consisted of empty beer bottles, cigarette ashes, etc). Flicking the match against the box, causing enough friction to light it on fire, he held up the flame to the end of his cigarette and lit it before waving the flame away. He never really liked smoking, but he kept it as a bad habit... along with drinking and getting into drugs every so often. The drugs was something he kept hidden from his girlfriend, Camilla, but he was well aware she knew of his drinking because he'd always talk about having a party.

Pulling on his favorite converse sneakers, Connor was ready to head out the door and over to the beach. He didn't plan on going to school, seeing as skipping school was usually a part of his schedule. He hated having to go to the place every day, especially since it was bad enough that he had to live there. Although, it was better than being at home with an abusive, alcoholic father. Connor hated having a routine and being a student meant that going to classes everyday was part of a routine. He was spontaneous and always wanting to do something different. It was boring listening to teachers drag on about useless information, anyway. He would rather partake in hands-on activities instead of reading from a textbook.

Grabbing his skateboard from a corner of the dorm, he carried it outside of his dorm and headed down a flight of stairs before leaving the building. Placing the skateboard on the ground, Connor decided that being at the beach seemed more relaxing than listening to lectures. So, after spending ten minutes skateboarding down the beach, he finally made it there. Most of the population consisted of adults while everyone else was busy learning in school. It wasn't so common to find teenagers hanging out at the beach at this hour, but Connor soon noticed that he wasn't the only teenager here. After getting a better look when he approached the girl, he realized it was his girlfriend, Camilla. He jumped over to the spot beside her. "Hey, there!"
