HISTORY:
Nora Russo was born in Chicago, Illinois to her parents Rosa and Alberto and coming into the world she wasn't the only child. She had her older brother Nikko who was two years older. Both happened to grow up inseparable. They did what they could together. They learned how to ride bikes together. Her brother even took a dance class with her once when she was six. Being a young girl Nora was a lot more mellow and shy, so sticking with her brother made life so much more easier. She didn't have to worry all too much about making friends because she already had her best one. Of course when she got into high school, conflicts arose because her brother was a bit more protective then she would have liked. However Nora did grow out of her shell in high school and became more outgoing. She had more friends and even dated, despite the scare tactics from Nikko.
The one of the most concerning relationships for Nora would have to be with her ex-boyfriend Jake. They met her junior year in high school and he happened to be all she ever wanted in a boy. She was kind, outgoing, humorous, and more importantly he loved her just as much as she did him. Things seemed pretty serious when they lasted until graduation. Many didn't expect it, especially Nikko who unwilling grew fond of the Jake. Next big moment in her life happened to be a mis-fortunate one. Then came a phone call that Nora received at two in the morning when she was nineteen years old from the police department. Her parents had been in a head on collision. Neither survived. It was one of the most heart wrenching moments of her life and having been an extremely emotional person, you could only image how much of a mess she was.
Luckily Nora had her older brother Nikko to keep her spirits up. As well as Jake, for the mean time. Then there was another man, whom so happened to be Nora's english teacher. Trent Mccoy. Being naive and new to college, Nora trusted him to show her the ropes. Trent helped in more ways than a teacher should have. She always knew things were different between them after having a couple dinner dates. As much as it was wrong, Nora grew very attached to Trent, she started to feel for him, despite being with Jake. Fast forward to eight months ago, the unthinkable happened. Nora found out she was pregnant and with Trent's kid but she choose to say it was Jake's instead, fearing that she would disappoint her older brother.
Thinking it was his responsibility now, Jake proposed. Here come the wedding bells right? Wrong! What seemed like a fairytale pushing away the past turned into a disaster. Four months into her pregnancy she caught Jake cheating on her with one of her close friends. No matter how many people claimed throwing him our of her life would be the wrong decision, when thinking of their child but at this point she didn't care. It seemed hypocritical because she cheated on him but Nora wanted to keep it a secret. It has been two months and within that short time both Nora and Nikko have packed their bags and moved to Hawaii where they plan on making a new lives for themselves.
ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE:
Oliver stared blankly up at the ceiling of his daughters bedroom. Glow in the dark stars helped his eyes adjust to the darkened room. Those silly commercials that advertised the glow in the dark stars and solar systems weren't lying. Even as a twenty-one year old male, Oli cold feel a sense of being outside when in reality he wasn't. He in fact grew up in the same room his daughter was now occupying and needless to say that those stars were passed down. As a child he found the glow in the dark stickers far more comforting than any old night light. It seemed as though Jayden would agree. His daughter had the sense of the night even as an infant. Something that both he and his wife agreed on since they both grew up with them. Jayden had them in their old house and she would continue to have them even though she was living in his old bedroom. Of course the amount of stars and planets on the ceiling had grown in size but the more the merrier.
It was moments like these that made Oli wish he was a child again. There were so many wrongs he would have made right if given the second chance. Of he should have taken the advice from his parents who told Oliver earlier on when he was a teen that life wouldn't be easy. It was then did he wish he would have listened and taken his parents words to heart. More teenagers in the world no a days took a lot of things for granted, just as Oli did. He remember what it was like to turn thirteen years old and feel like you were on top of the world. At thirteen he felt like an adult and tried to act as one even though he wasn't. It wouldn't be till years later did he wish that he could have lived his teens to the fullest instead of defying his parents every moment he got. Needless to say Oliver couldn't be all the regretful. If things hadn't gone the way they did in the past then he never would of had his daughter Jayden. The two years she had been in his life seemed like a life time and the days, months, years were passing faster then he would have thought. Guess it was true that the older you get the faster time flies.
So it was this moment, as Oliver laid snuggling his two year old daughter in her new toddler bed, that mattered most to him. She was his world. Her smile alone made his day so much more easier. Being a full time father and a single parent was hard but to know that the tiny girl laying in his arms was the reason why he strived everyday made it all worth it. A year ago Oli had his wife to help. It was then that his load had been a lot less dense then it was now. Amy, just like Jayden, had been Oli's world. It was the simple story of high school sweethearts falling in love. He could honestly say she saved him from a lot of trouble he could have gotten into has a teen but despite their love for each other, his parents just wouldn't accept them together. That didn't stop him from proposing to Amy during the graduation ceremony or from having Jayden six months later. It was then did life seem perfect to Oliver, so much so that his life seemed bitter sweet. Why was he married to the girl of his dreams and having a child with her? Did he deserve it?
Fate sure didn't think so. A year after their precious Jayden was born, his life and dreams came to a shattering end. That phone call from the police replayed over and over in his head. Even as he lay with the only thing that mattered most to him. Of course it being the anniversary of his wife's death wasn't making his thoughts any less sorrowful. Maybe that's why he had been laying with his daughter for two hours even after she had fallen asleep. What else could he do? In all fairness it seemed pointless to just lay in agony, so cautiously Oli maneuvered his hand from behind Jayden's head and quietly exited her room. He ran his hand threw his shaggy dark chocolate hair and exhaled a deep sigh that he had been holding in for quite some time. There was too much on his mind for him to go to sleep so instead he retreated to the living room where his father was sitting, reading a newspaper under a dim light. There was no way talking to his parents would make his situation better. At times he felt they were more happy then sad that Amy was gone. "I'm going out. Tell mom that Jayden is in bed. I'll be back later." No others words needed to be exchanged. His father, being a male and all, probably understood his son more then anyone. They did share half of the same genes after all.
So with that Oliver grabbed his leather jacket from the hall closet and his keys from on top of the dresser then headed out the front door. It wasn't all to late but late enough that the only place that were open happened to be the night clubs. Sometimes he liked to go to the beach and sit until dawn but that give him more of a reason to think about Amy. As much as he loved his wife, Oli needed to move on, especially if he intended on caring for Jayden. Her alone made all his choices and decisions risky. He never wanted to make a wrong move but he found himself submerge within the club crowds. Drinking was a bad habit and was something he rarely did but it was true when it came to alcohol relieving all your worries. At least for him it did. So Club Nova it was. Oli had grown accustomed and attached to the bartenders, plus the night crowd seemed to range around his age. Which was good when meeting new people. Being the friendly and helpful guy he was, making friends was hardly a task. Being raised the way he was, others always came first but lately it seemed like it should be the other way around. It was hard for him to open up and trust others like they did him.
In all fairness Oliver needed that some who could break him down and mend his feelings. When it came down to it he knew that eventually he needed to move on and fall in love. If not for himself then Jayden. Being a little girl she needed a mother figure around. Sure having grandma around was nice but what about having a mother? He needed a girl who would not only love him but love his daughter as well. Which was the reason why dating seemed so much more complicated for him. Many women around his age didn't want kids let alone someone else's. So for now he was on the search and kept his eyes open for anyone who was willing to give him and his daughter a chance. As for tonight Oli just wanted to have a little fun. He at least deserved that. Within a matter of fifteen minutes he parked his pickup truck in the Club Nova parking lot then headed to the entrance. Luckily he had become good friends with the bouncer who let him in without hesitation. Oli made his was threw people that already crowded the club. Loud music poured threw his ears as he made his way to wards the bar. Dancing wasn't much of his thing but he didn't mind watching. "Can I get some Captain and Coke please." Oli asked one of the bartenders. He let his eyes scan the crowd as his drink was being made. What sort of mess could he get himself into tonight? His chestnut iris' fell upon a gorgeous burnett that drew other eyes then just his own. He was never to good at making a first move so quickly he turned his attention back to his made drink. Oli took a few swigs then looked back at the girl.
