PERSONALITY:

there is a difference between the old mason and the new mason. back when he was young, well more like a year ago, mason was very outgoing, helpful, loyal. an all around good guy. his main goal was to make a living. he always loved to help others and had no trouble getting along with them either. mason would do anything that was asked of him. no matter the circumstances. in a way he was a bit reserved. there was nothing to fear. so he tried to live life one step at a time.

after finding out about his cancer, mason changed just a bit. though he hides it, mason is scared shit-less and covers up his fear by all the crazy shit he does. some would think he was a stunt extremist. instead of taking one step at a time he does as he pleases. he feels there is no time left so why live with regrets. at the moment he is doing anything and everything he can. when it comes with relationships with others he is a bit more cautious. he is still very likable and outgoing but he tends not to get close to anyone. mason is very secretive about his illness. he can also be a bit moody as well. due to all the medications. so don't get on his bad side. mason isn't afraid to attack. at this point its his way or the highway.

HISTORY:

mason roy livingston was born on may 15th to his parents greg and margret. he was the first born. now normally in a family with two other siblings, who are younger, the first child would be the hero. the kid who was smart and did everything right. wrong. as sweet as he was, mason was the rebellious child. he hated following the rules and to this day he is still the same. his younger sister katie was more of the hero child. and when she was born, man was mason jealous. he hated having another sibling. he only wanted the attention on himself but of course he didn't get his way. and his sister wasn't the last child. his parents also had his younger brother tanner. at this point he was use to having his sister but having a brother wasn't has bad.

mason and tanner were quite close while growing up though they were always getting into trouble. of course mason led the way while his brother followed in his tracks. when mason was ten years old his parents filed a divorce. it was a lot harder on him than his brother and sister. they were too little to really understand reality. they didn't know that their mother had been having an affair with another man. which is why his father left. mason wanted to live with his father but his mother persisted against it and even took him to court. in most cases mothers win, which is what happened and mason was furious. so growing up as a young teen he made his mothers life a living hell for her actions. many times he attempted to run away but he would always get caught.

throughout high school tried not to pass just to piss off his mom. when it came to friends he was quite loyal to them. though he kept no best friends because once he graduated mason was gone. it was heat wrenching for his little brother tanner but mason needed to get away. after saving up money for some time, mason moved to hawaii where his father supposably lived. after two years of searching, he gave up searching and settle down in the tropical islands. he has been working as a mechanic and surfing the beaches ever since he was nineteen years old. schooling wasn't much of an option for him but mason never minded his lower class status.

fast forward to three months ago. mason had attended a doctors appoint for a skin infection. they went over his symptoms and diagnosed him with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. which is a disease of the bone marrow. mason was informed that it was curable but things haven't been getting better and he is already in stage two of cancer. they want him to get chemotherapy but he refuses. he doesn't want to go threw all the medication and never survive. so now he is living on the edge, despite the cancer. he does what no matter the risk. mason is more daring and tries to make close relationships. maybe some can turn him around and convince him to get cured.
