PERSONALITY:
Dominique use to be such a responsible well-respected man that had a bright future ahead of himself and in inspiration to children but now he’s just about opposite. As if he gave up on all his goals and aspirations after the main one fell apart he is now very reckless and cares very little about what people think about him. He loves to party, over drink, be the center of attention (even if it’s not in a positive light), and generally cause a stir among calmness. He loves pulling pranks and can be a fun guy to be around when people want to do something fun. He never seems to stop getting into trouble, usually trying to pull of insane and dangerous stunts while drunk enough, which is often enough with his alcoholic destructive nature. It’s almost as if he doesn’t care or dies anymore.
With that he also cares very little about relationships. Dominique adores sex, of either gender, and can be quite a flirt or charmer when he wants to be. Instead of using these skills for something useful though, he usually just uses it for getting sex or to manipulate somebody to get what he wants. Still he has an untapped potential with his charm that he doesn’t realize could be used for good. His parents want him to go into marketing or business because he has that type of personality that can shake hands and make great first impressions when he wants to act that way instead of the baboon he has become. He is also very smart and quick thinker that can get people out of troubled situations quickly.
Dominique walks around like he is happy with his new life where he just vacations and has constant fun but it’s hard for him to keep that secret that he is very depressed. He wishes that he could become a professional hockey player and life his dream but knows that the dream is now crushed and that he’ll be a nobody when he grows up. Although he only wants to keep short-term relationships he’s very lonely and wishes there was somebody to love.
PLACE OF BIRTH: Uranium City, Saskatchewan, Canada DATE OF BIRTH: July 15th, 1989 FINANCIAL STATUS: High class FATHER: Louis Roy, emergency room medical doctor, 49 MOTHER: Josée Roy, Genealogist, 51 SIBLINGS: Emeline Roy (student, younger sister, 12), Lucie Roy (student, younger sister, 17), Flore Roy (Canadian university student, older sister, 22), Alexanre Roy (Law firm intern, older brother, 24), Antoine Roy (construction worker, older brother, 26)
HISTORY:
He was born into the small very northern town of Uranium City where both his parents worked at the hospital. His mother worked with the elderly and his father worked as the head doctor to the emergency room. He was the 3rd born in the family that would eventually get even larger. He doesn’t remember too much of where he was born though because the hospital shut down when he was three and both their parents moved to another more populated northern town called La Ronge, in another area of northern Saskatchewan. Although still only a small town it still held a few thousand people that were very community minded. Hockey was also very popular there and he grew up watching the hockey team La Ronge Ice Wolves play their home games there. This team was very community based and Dominique always idolized the players, wanting to be just like them as he got older. He hadn’t even realized that they were just wannabes compared to the level he was going to get to. They acted by around the kids because they were cocky but really it was all in their hands
It started at the age of 9 when Dominique was drafted to an under 10 special league that wasn’t just regular house league. He moved up in the ranks in the hockey leagues quickly, getting drafted to stronger teams and being away from home more often. His ultimate goal was to get drafted by the La Ronge Ice wolves but when he turned fifteen and though he had sweet talked the general manager and others to think he was impressive enough to get on the team he was suddenly drafted into the Ontario Hockey League, the top semi-professional hockey league in the world. He suddenly had to move away from home and to the capital of Canada, Ottawa to play for that team as they rode across in large distances in the country on a bus. Scouts kept a very close eye on him and he became a crowd favorite with his sharp speed and slap shot goals like a true sniper. Ottawa was a bit change for Dominique though because of the huge population that he had never witnessed before and then having to live on his own and grow up as a teenager on his own. He was treated like an adult and had no time to rebel because he was to busy training for the scouts and sponsors. Still as he grew older he became an even better hockey player and knew he had a rich future ahead of himself when named team assistant captain at just the age of 16.
When Dominique turned 18, three months later the NHL draft came and he was the 10th round pick for the Vancouver Canuks. To make sure he remained on the team and didn’t move teams while he was still technically a free agent they offered him an early signing bonus of 7 million if he stayed with them for 8 years. Dominique suddenly came into the spotlight of many and became very cocky while he pumped enough iron to become a muscle man that could handle the national hockey league. He even played in Manitoba for the Winnipeg Moose in the AHL farm team for Vancouver where he was named the team captain. When he played his first NHL game at the age of 19 he scored 2 goals within the first period of playing. Another player from another team known to be a goon in the game, angry at his fast speed, hit him badly from behind in the leg. So badly injured he had to be taken off in a stretcher covered in his own blood and have immediate surgery. Later it was revealed that although he could walk or even skate again he could never play hockey professionally again for his leg was always going to have a limp to it and never heal properly.
With his hockey career over, Dominique didn’t know what to do. Hockey was the only skill in the world he had and now that he couldn’t do that society considered him useless. Needing to get out of their 7 million dollar contract they offered Dominique 2.5 million for an early release which Dominique agreed to knowing he had to take the money now or he’d never see any of it in the long run from all the lawyer constantly in his face. Half a million went to his agent who negotiated the deal and another 200,000 thousand went to lawyer fees. That left him with an untaxed 1.8 million dollars to spend on his choice. His parents made him enroll into college. Knowing he could be charming they forced him to take business, thinking he would learn a lot and get a real career out of it. The first thing Dominique did before he was forced to start school was go on a trip to Hawaii for an extra long summer vacation of partying. He brought along his older sister Flore because he had the money to do so and figured he would have fun to. When he got there he changed attitudes from his proper nice young man that had a bright future to the real rebel he never got to be while growing up as a teenager.
ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE:
After discovering his new, what he labeled as, jedi mind powers that let him move things from one to another without moving a muscle, he had a lot more power using that then his actual physical strength as well, then he couldn't stop practicing it which was probably good. Kurt was an interesting character because when he first found the others he was very quiet but soon enough when he learned of his powers he didn't ever shut up. Most enjoyed that there was somebody not evil running against them, everyone could trust Kurt he was such a nice guy, but at the same time when people got him started on talking he didn't ever seem to shut up. He'd talk about anything and everything he could. It was a good thing most of his memory was wiped out because then he'd be able to talk even more. Usually his conversations ended with him just having nothing else to talk about since he was discovering a new world now.
He was also given a number of simple tasks by a number of people who wanted them to follow them as the leader. Personally he didn't care for any leader, he just wanted people to respect him. He was one of the first new ones to discover the berries in the forest for them to eat and he often went out to collect for the group, even if people did nothing for him in return. He even was resourceful and had made his own bowl out of the same twine from vines used to keep the forts together.
Returning with a large bowl full of berries the closest person to him was Trent so he walked up to him and offered in berries. "Did you want a berry? I picked them from the forest. I think they're called blackberries because they're black. Well they're more dark purple but from a distance they look like black. I wonder why they're not called dark purple berries. Well anyway... did you want some dark purple berries?" He was excited about his large find of berries that he picked by himself in the forest and wanted others to be excited to.
