PERSONALITY:

ava is one of the sweetest girls you will meet. she's friendly, caring, protective, kind, loyal - the kind of friend everyone wants. she's kind of innocent and naive, and can be tricked into doing stuff really easily. she doesn't know how to say no to someone, and is the kind of girl people always ask to take their shift at work, burrow notes or money, or just to do something for them because they know she'll say yes, even if she doesn't want too. she loves to laugh and hates when people are upset.

she's never mean or bitchy on purpose. ava stores all her anger and just tries to push it away whenever she's angry. she's emotional when she's happy or sad, and usually wears her heart on her sleeve, but she will do everything in her power to keep herself from loosing her temper. she can't help it sometimes, she's only human, and when she gets angry, well ava gets angry. she lets all her anger out on once, and usually on those she loves and truly cares about, and feels terrible about it afterwards. she's the kind of girl to apologize again, and again, and again, until the point where she's just being annoying, but she doesn't realize how annoying she is, because she just feels terrible about what she did in the first place.

she likes to have fun, whether it be from a party or hanging out with friends, or just staying home with her brother and sister and watching a movie. ava's really social and just loves being around people. she's flirtatious with guys and loves to be with them. like every other teenager she's terrified of rejection and having her heart broken. she likes dates and relationships, she just doesn't like to open up that quickly.

HISTORY:

both john and elyse were straight out of university and happily married when elyse found out she was pregnant. the twenty three year olds had just settled into their house in charleston, south carolina and were eager and ready to start their own family. john who was working as a finacial accountant at the local bank, picked up an extra custodial job at the local high school to increase what his pay was, which all went towards the baby's finace. elyse, who had to go on maternity leave from her job as a math teacher at the local high school, started to make quilts and sell them online, becuase she was bored to tears sitting at home being pregnant. finally nine months later, elyse gave birth to a beautiful boy which they named robbie.

when robbie was one year old and elyse was getting ready to go back to teaching, she found out she was pregnant once again. john had always wanted a large family and was estatic, especially when they found out it was a girl. elyse was more worried about the sinclaire's fincial state, since babies weren't cheap, and she was out of work, but they managed, and nine months later katherine was born. shortly after katherine's birth, when robbie was two, elyse found out she was pregnant yet again, and this time it was a girl. she and john were both happy, but money was getting really tight, and after the birth of ava, john and elyse decided not to have anymore children, and that three was enough for them.

growing up, ava always looked up to her older siblings. she always wanted to do what robbie and katherine were doing, so when the two started school and ava was stuck at home she cried all day and tried to sneak off to school by seeing if she could fit into robbie's back pack. elyse who always took the kids to school, before heading off to work would have to drop ava off at her grandparents, and spent a good twenty minutes each morning trying to get her to stop crying, promising her that robbie and katherine would be home soon. when she was finally able to go to school, ava always followed robbie and katherine around. robbie got annoyed with it, you know because ava was his little sister with pig tails and wore my little pony sweaters which was embarrassing for robbie, but katherine loved it and loved showing ava her "baby sister" off to everyone. it was like that for ava all through elementry school. she pretty much followed katherine around and was friends with all her sisters friends.

once ava got to high school though, she was in for a shock of her life. robbie who was a senior when ava was a freshman was a completly different guy at school than he was at home. he was your stereotypical jock, he was a jerk to those he didn't like, and always had a girl on his arm. he talked to ava whenever he saw her, he wasn't rude enough to ignore his little sister, but he never let ava hang out with any of his friends, because they were all like him, and there was no way in hell that robbie wanted ava or katherine hanging out with his friends, who just wanted to get into their pants. katherine wasn't as bad a robbie. she focused a lot on school really, her social life dipped a little, but katherine was still nice, social katherine, who focused a little too much on her science homework. and ava, well she just was her friendly self, which caused her to get invited to a lot of parties and to just hang out with everyone. she partied a little too much in high school, countless times her friends had carried her home, or watched her sleep on her side so she wouldn't be sick. her parents never said anything to her about her wild drinking, and ava figured they knew, they just didn't know what to say. but by senior year, ava really tried and cleaned herself up.

now she's in hawaii studying political science. she choose hawaii because that's where robbie and katherine decided to go for school, and the thought of being away from robbie and katherine for so long just depressed ava. so she decided to come to hawaii, plus it's gorgeous!

ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE:

--- relief flooded over her as realized it was in fact felix. she watched as the older boy came over and closed the twitter page she had opened as a little distraction from her paper. in one swift motion, she pushed her blonde side bangs out of her eyes and looked up at the giant sophomore who was standing beside her, as she craned her neck up to see him. “hey… yeah, it’s going to be some fun times” she joked as he commented on the amount of homework they both had. “ “but since you’re here, looks like a double date now, huh.” she said giving a smile that mirrored his shit eating smile he gave her. she saw her screen change to the black screen with random light patterns which was her screen saver out of the corner of her eye and ignored it as felix sat down beside her. she wanted to turn back to her books, start typing again, and hopefully get something done before it got to dark out tonight, but god she was so sick of homework, and the perfect distraction – felix’s company, was sitting right beside. her brain pushed the design paper, the physics mid term, and her calculus homework right out of her mind. her right hand left it’s spot on the table and went to the back of her head where her long, blonde hair fell down her back in messy waves. grabbing it, and turning her wrists a few times, the messy ponytail she held in her hand transformed into a messy bun which might not have been the most fashionable hair style out there, but it felt nice to tie her hair up.

--- “so what’s got you here tonight?” she asked glancing at felix’s bag and then back at him. determined to not get any work down know, whitney’s tongue had a mind out it’s own. it felt strangely loose, and she couldn’t even control the words coming out of her mouth. she was being uncharacteristically chatty – not that she thought felix would notice, it wasn’t like they were best friends or anything – just friendly acquaintances. actually now that she thought of it, did felix even know her name? surely he did, he must have heard it before. but worry soon washed over whitney. she wasn’t the memorable person, she was quiet, shy – a wall flower at parties, not that she even went to many parties, but when she did, she didn’t exactly let her hair down and go crazy. she was about to think of something to say, that she could incorporate her name into when once again her mouth opened and her tongue started to move with out her thinking. “do you think it matters that i wrote whitney in all my textbooks? i’ll be able to sell them back at the end of the year right?” she asked, hearing what she was saying for the first time. her eyes widened quickly and slightly in shock, wow she was so… socially weird. not that she used to be, but since the move to new haven, well…

--- “i’m sorry, i must be distracting, i just don’t want to study anymore.” she apologized with a sigh before picking her pen up and doodling absent mindly on a corner of one of her physic notes on gravity and force. all those arrows, calculations, and weird symbols needed something like a pretty flower to make it more fun.
